The Cash Kids

We are family...my brothers, my sisters, and me.
As a group, my parents often referred to us as "the 2 older girls and the 4 little ones".
As I was searching thru my memory bank for someone who had an impact on my life, these guys came to the forefront.
We each have totally different personalities which collectively made us a force to be reckoned with.

There's not enough time and it's difficult to share the impact that each of them have had on my life.
Just know that it is big!
The journey thru this course of reflection  has made me even more aware of that.
It was pleasing to my heart to spend the special quiet time with each person as I drew them.
I am grateful.

I am currently enrolled in several on-line classes that are offering the opportunity and tools to dig deep into our past for clarification.

This prompt is from Jeanne Oliver's class Reflections : Paint Your Story .
Creating a cast of characters who have played a role, good or bad, in your life.

Forever Grateful

To date, this piece marks my first large drawing.
(not for long!)
She measures 24" x 24"
Gallery wrapped canvas
Charcoal, Pastel, and Acrylic paint
Titled:  Forever Grateful
I am Forever Grateful for many things.
One item at the  top of this list is the encouragement and support I receive from ALL of you.
When I say, "I couldn't do this without you."  I really mean it!  These are not mere words.
I Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

According to About Flowers the meaning of the Black-Eyed Susan flower is:
Encouragement
How appropriate these are as an addition for this piece.

What I am learning is... when I focus on gratitude I receive more blessings to be grateful for.

Thank You for all of your support and encouragement.
I couldn't do this without YOU!

Resistance

A couple weeks ago I was asked to paint another original piece of art like a previous piece.
I had never done this before and quite honestly I was a little reluctant to even attempt it. I could list all the logical  reasons not to do it and every reason could be quite convincing.  Yet I was drawn to the idea.  Not in a negative way, it was more like a urging to move onward.  I chose to sit with it.  Meditate on it.  My thoughts began to shift.  I no longer viewed it as a challenge instead I saw it as an opportunity for growth.  Once again to overcome resistance (otherwise identified as fear). 90% of the time I create art from my heart,  I do not document the paint colors, the techniques I did, etc.  Which was the #1 item on my list of reasons not to do this.

What I discovered, by following thru with creating this piece is the essence remains the same...it's
Art from my Heart.
I am so grateful that I believed enough to conquer any imagined fear.

What are you resisting that could potentially propel you forward?

Etsy Shop is open

IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS...
Are you looking for a unique and good-priced ($21.00) gift for someone? I just reopened my Etsy shop and I have placed my "Nuggets of Inspirations" there.   They are ready to ship today.

I have been taking them wherever I go and when people see them they want one. Just like I hope you will! smile emoticon

All proceeds will be applied toward an official art table for my studio so I can finally get rid of the secretarial desk. So... when you purchase a nugget or maybe two, it's a win-win.
#1. You will be getting a unique and good priced gift
#2. You are helping me out.
#3. Flat rate shipping for one item no matter where in the US and only $6.00 for any quantity more
than one no matter where in the US.

I am totally grateful for your support,
because of you I can do what I am doing!
