The purpose of your life is within.

This piece absolutely speaks from the depth of my being.
Reflecting what has been on my mind and heart.
In my meditations,  I have been/am getting closer to affirming the purpose of my life.

When I created her she crossed the finish line with an intense determination to deliver a message:
"The purpose of your life is within."

Today I wanted to challenge myself to do a quick charcoal drawing.
My ego mind kept chattering of all the household chores that needed to be done.
I hustled ~ got them all done - and got this piece done, too!
I'm doing a
HaPpY DaNcE!
I'm off to a nice warm bubble bath, now.

HaPpY DaNcE

I got an email, yesterday, from the Naperville Fine Art Gallery telling me that my other piece of art hanging in their gallery had been sold.  Wanna know how excited I was?  Crazy excited!  Two pieces sold within 2 weeks.
HaPpY DaNcE!!!  HaPpY DaNcE!!!
This is music to any artists ears!
Since I've been traveling this creative path...I have felt more alive.  I NEVER knew that I could paint or draw until I sat down with a piece of paper on the table, a pencil in my hand, and timidly began.
When I write and you read any exciting news it isn't intended to be boastful.  I am just celebrating out loud.  This path I'm on has it's share of dark times when my resilience it tested.  Those times you will rarely hear me talk about.  Why?  Because I don't want to draw to much attention to something I don't want to have hang around.  I sit with it, sometimes feel sorry for myself, I question why am I doing this.   I have always get to the point where I have enough and I am ready to move on.  I learn what I was supposed to learn.  When I regain myself I come back with more drive than I had before.

I can't express enough how valuable your
continued support and encouragement means to me.
Thank You ~ Thank You ~ Thank You
for being there!

Canvas Create

This past Sunday  I watched an on-line class called Canvas Create by Donna Downey (LOVE her!!!-if you don't know who she is check her out.) and I decided I was going to "just do it".  Here's what my final piece looks like.  It was all painted with my fingers, too.  What fun it was getting messy.  The ultra cool part about making abstract flowers is that they don't have to look like real flowers.  This truly helped me paint freely without being so concerned about it looking perfect.  Because the truth is... it was good just they way it is.  So true for us, as well.  We are good enough, just as we are.   I was beaming with pride to complete this in one day.  The canvas measures 18" x 24" which, to date, is my largest canvas to paint on.  I'm craving to paint larger now!

Oh yah, I almost forgot to mention,   I SOLD IT ALREADY!   (happy dance~happy dance)
